2021 CHEADLE EVENTS/ACTIVITIES
Countdown to Christmas
The Christmas lights event took place on 19th November and was the best attended lights event that any of us could remember.

The lights were switched on by Cheadle's Mayor Sue Walley and Paralympian Shaun Burrows.
Car Boot Sale
On 7th November a small car boot sale was held on the long stay car park as a one off event.

Due to the popularity of this event, it was a agreed that further sales would be investigated in 2022.
Halloween:
Best Decorated House Competition
This was a first for our group, the idea was initially suggested by a Cheadle resident and it was agreed we would organise the competition with their help.

The prizes were hampers, donated by Morrisons and Fresh Produce of Cheadle.
High Street Musical
This "enhanced shopping experience" was to encourage more footfall on the High Street. A full event wasn't possible due to Covid restrictions. It was kept fairly low key, with social distancing measures in place.

A series of musical acts played in various spots along the High Street - these included buskers, solo artists such as Joslyn Plant and bands.
High Street Welcome Video
This short video was created on behalf of the shops and businesses on the High Street to welcome the community back, after Covid restrictions were lifted.

The video formed part of Team Cheadle's Buy British Week, a campaign to encourage shoppers onto the High Street which included a free parking day.
